Vol. 429 No. 6

Written Answers. - Upgrading of Cork Roadway.

Peter Barry

Question:

151 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment the proposals, if any, he has to upgrade the roadway from the Southern Ring Road to the gates of Cork Airport; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Preliminary proposals involving the reshaping and surfacing of 3km. of roadway between the roundabout at the Southern Ring Road and the entrance to Cork Airport have been received in my Department. The estimated cost of the works is £900,000. The proposals are being considered at engineering level and will be considered for funding at a later stage.
