Máirín Quill

Question:

Máirín Quill

Question:

281 Miss Quill asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the Arts and Culture projects with have benefited from the national lottery; and those which have been promised benefit from the national lottery.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 280 and 281 together. Details of arts and culture projects (exclusive of Irish language projects) which have benefited from national lottery funds from 1987 to 1992 are listed at Appendix 1. Lottery funds committed to similar projects by my Department for 1993 are detailed at Appendix 2. Funds committed by the National Heritage Council in the period 1988 to March 1993 are detailed at Appendix 3. The Arts Council is funded by both the Exchequer and the national lottery and detailed lists of grants given by the Council are published in their annual reports, copies of which are laid before the Oireachtas.
