Vol. 429 No. 6

Written Answers. - Birth Control Methods.

Ivor Callely

Question:

301 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health whether birth control by vaccine is available in Ireland; if not, if an application has been made to have it made available in Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Birth control by vaccine is not available in this country. The use of vaccination as a means of birth control is still at the investigational stage. Much work has yet to be carried out in order that its safety and efficacy is established.
