Question:

316 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Education when she received an application for payment of a grant in respect of the installation of windows at Newbawn national school, County Wexford; the progress made to date; the likely outcome of the application; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department approved a grant in 1990 in respect of the cost of the provision of replacement windows at this school. A balance has been withheld pending rectification of certain defects in the work undertaken by the contractor.
