Question:

106 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if he will give a list of the semi-State boards under the aegis where the 40 per cent quota of women has been adhered to by the Government since it accepted the recommendations of the first statement of the Commission on the Status of Women in April 1991; and if he will further list the boards where the quota has fallen below 40 per cent.

Tá 16 Boird/Eagrais Stáit, Boird Iontaobh-aithe, Comhairlí, etc., faoi scáth mo Roinne-se. De réir mar a éireoidh folúntais ar na Boird sin beidh ceapacháin á ndéanamh agam i gcomhréir leis an gcinneadh a rinne an Rialtas le déanaí maidir le céatadán de 40 faoin gcéad ar a laghad d'fhir agus de mhná a bheith mar chomhaltaí ar na Boird sin.

Is mar seo a leanas na Boird/Eagrais Stáit ar mhná 40 faoin gcéad nó níos mó de na comhaltaí a bhíonn le ceapadh agamsa: The Irish Film Board (nach bhfuil ach beirt air faoi láthair); Broadcasting Complaints Commission.

Is mar seo a leanas na Boird/Eagrais Stáit ar mhná níos lú ná 40 gcead faoin de na comhaltaí a bhíonn le ceapadh agamsa: Bord na Gaeilge; Bord na Leabhar Gaeilge; An Chomhairle Eal-aíon; The Independent Radio and Television Commission; The Irish Manuscripts Commission; The Irish Museum of Modern Art; The National Archives Advisory Council; The National Concert Hall; The National Heritage Council; RTE Authority; Údarás na Gaeltachta; Board of Governors and Guardians of the National Gallery of Ireland; Board of Visitors of the National Museum of Ireland; Board of Trustees of the National Library of Ireland.
