Michael P. Kitt

Question:

61 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when headage and suckler cow grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and when this file was sent for payment.

The June 1992 applications of the person named for grants under the cattle and equines headage and suckler cow premium schemes are being processed at present and if found in order payments will be made shortly. The relevant files were passed from the Galway office on 10 December 1992 but processing has been delayed due to an error in relation to the acreage involved.

The December 1992 application of the person named for grants under the special beef premium scheme will be processed as soon as possible. Payments in respect of the November-December application period are expected to commence before the end of May.

Question:

62 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment of a cow suckler grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person is not the registered owner of the herd number quoted. The registered herd owner's December 1992 suckler cow premium scheme application is being processed at present and if found in order payment will be made when payments commence for December 1992 applicants. It is expected that these payments will start to issue during May.

Question:

63 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment of the 1990 sheep headage grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Following inspection of the flock of the person named under the 1990 sheep headage scheme 100 sheep out of the 293 presented were deemed to be of the required type and breed in order to be eligible for sheep headage grants and payment was made accordingly on 1 February 1991.

Question:

64 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if payment of a beef cow grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named presented only five cows with calves at an inspection of her herd on 30 September 1992 and in accordance with the terms and conditions of the beef cow scheme in less severely handicapped areas was entitled to payment of grants on only five cows. These grants were paid to her last January.

65 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Sligo has not been paid his forestry headage grant.

There is no record of an application from the person in question for headage, compensatory allowances or premiums under the forestry schemes administered by my Department.

66 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a cattle headage grant and a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This applicant's 1992 cattle and equines headage and special beef premium schemes grants are being processed at present and if found in order payments will issue shortly.

67 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a cattle headage, beef premium and small scale suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The 1992 cattle and equines headage, beef premium and small scale suckler cow premium schemes grants in this case will be paid shortly.

68 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person's file has been forwarded to my Department's office in Cavan and payment will be made as soon as possible.

69 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim has not received payment of his cattle headage grant; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person named has been paid 1992 cattle and equines headage scheme and 1992 suckler cow premium scheme grants on all the animals on his applications. It seems that he omitted some animals from these applications. My officials are prepared to discuss the matter with him if he calls to the local office of the Department.

His special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to validation check by computer. The problem with the application is being dealt with at present. When it is resolved the application will be processed further and, if found in order, payment will then be made.

70 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a special beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The application of the person named for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer. The problem with the application is being dealt with at present. When it is resolved the application will be processed further and, if found in order, payment will then be made.

71 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when suckler cow and beef cow subsidies will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Further investigation is necessary before the applications of the person named for grants under the 1992 beef cow and suckler cow premium schemes can be considered for payment.

72 Mr. Moynihan asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications when payment of an ESB installation grant for a new house will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

An applicaton in respect of the named person has not been received in my Department.

However, on receipt of his application it will be dealt with promptly and the applicant will be informed of the outcome.

73 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications when a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim will be paid a rural electrification aid grant.

An application in respect of the named person has not been received in my Department.
