Donal Carey

Question:

193 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid a beef premium; and when this file was passed from the Ennis office of his Department.

The applicant in this case had to be queried in relation to a problem concerning his application. As a result, processing of that application was delayed somewhat. It was referred to the computer for payment on 30 April 1993 and, if validated, will be paid shortly.

Question:

194 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid his headage, suckler and beef premium grants; and when these files were passed from the Ennis office of his Department.

The applications of the person named for grants under the 1992 cattle and equine headage, suckler cow premium and June 1992 special beef premium schemes were rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer. The problems with the applications are being dealt with at present and, when resolved, the applications will be processed further and if found in order payments will be made. The relevant files were passed from the Ennis Office on 12 October 1992.

The December 1992 special beef premium scheme application from the person named will be processed as soon as possible.

Question:

195 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when bullock and cow grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The person named was paid her grants under the 1992 cattle and equines headage scheme and June 1992 special beef premium schemes in mid December 1992. Her December 1992 applications for grants under the suckler cow and special beef premium schemes are being processed at present and payments will be made as soon as possible.

196 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; the reason for the delay in the payment of the premium; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The application of the person named for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer. The problem with the application is being dealt with and, when resolved, payment will be made as soon as possible.

Andrew Boylan

Question:

197 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a full headage payment will be made to a person (details supplied); and the reasons this payment has not been made.

The person named applied for disadvantaged area headage grants on 44 cows in the June 1992 application period. In his application he claimed he owned 60 acres and had 40 acres rented. He has only submitted evidence of ownership of 30.9 acres and has been given credit for this and 40 acres rented in the calculation of his grants. The question of payment of extra disadvantaged area grants will be considered when he submits documentary evidence in regard to the other 29.1 acres which he claims he owns.

The person named was not an applicant in the June or December application periods for the 1992 suckler cow premium scheme. He was paid his grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme in November 1992.

198 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cavan.

The person named did not apply for grants under the 1992 suckler cow premium schemes.

199 Mr. Hughes asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a sheep headage grant for 1992 will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

Payment of the 1992 sheep headage grant will be made to the person named shortly.

203 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in the payment of a 1992 special beef premium to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; the amount due to the person; and if he will have arrangements made for payment.

The application of the person named for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer. The problem with the application is being dealt with at present and, when resolved, the application will be processed further and if found in order a payable order for £3,093.20 will issue.

204 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has not yet been paid the June 1992 special beef premium; the amount due to him; and if payment will now be issued.

The application of the person named for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer. The problem with the application is being dealt with at present and, when resolved, the application will be processed further and if found in order a payable order for £1,159.95 will then issue.
