217 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will extend the deadline for discounted annuities purchase offers of Land Commission estates to a date later than May 1993, to allow farmers sufficient time to get the necessary capital together to complete these purchases; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The latest date for accepting the Land Commission annuity buy-out offer has already been extended by the Government from 31 March 1993 to 31 May 1993 and it is not intended to grant a further extension.
