Question:

143 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education if her Department has received an application for grant assistance from a school (details supplied) in County Cork.

An application for grant asistance towards the cost of minor works at the school referred to by the Deputy has been received and has been referred to the Department's technical advisers for report and recommendation. When this report is to hand and considered a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities.

144 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education when a decision will be made on an application by a school (details supplied) in County Cork for provision of a prefab.

An application for grant towards the cost of the provision of a prefabricated classroom for the school in Co. Cork referred to by the Deputy has been received in my Department. The matter is currently being considered and a decision will be conveyed to the school authorities in the very near future.
