Question:

16 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will allocate a grant under the voluntary and community service scheme to the Waterford Unit of the Order of Malta Ambulance Corps, for the purchase of a new ambulance.

An application under the scheme of grants to voluntary social service organisations has been received from the organisation concerned.

The application is at present being processed and as soon as a decision is made the organisation concerned will be notified.
