Question:

73 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he has considered any of the applications received from voluntary organisations in County Kildare for funding from the proceeds of the national lottery; if he expects to be in a position to respond favourably in the near future; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Applications under the 1993 scheme of grants to voluntary bodies are currently being processed in my Department and I expect to be in a position to begin allocating grants shortly.
