Vol. 430 No. 7

Written Answers. - VEC Scholarship.

Ivan Yates

Question:

116 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford can obtain a vocational education committee scholarship in respect of his attendance at Carlow Regional Technical College; and if she will make a statement in relation to his entitlement.

In order to be eligible for the award of a vocational education committee scholarship, candidates must satisfy all the provisions, including the academic attainments provisions, of the scheme. Unfortunately, as the applicant referred to by the Deputy does not meet the specified academic attainments outlined in the vocational education committee scholarship scheme, he is not eligible for the award of a scholarship.
