Question:

171 Ms McManus asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the submission he has received from the Office of Public Works in relation to the proposed widening of the road through the Glen O' the Downs in County Wicklow; and if he intends to follow the advice of the Office of Public Works in this regard to protect the woodlands and the areas of important scientific interest at the Glen O' the Downs.

This submission is being examined in conjunction with the Environmental Impact Statment prepared by Wicklow County Council for the proposed Kilmacanogue — Glen O' the Downs road project and will be taken into account when I make my decision on the project. It is not the practice to give details of particular submissions made in relation to Environmental Impact Statements.
