Vol. 431 No. 1

Written Answers. - Williamstown (Galway) Sewerage Scheme.

Paul Connaughton

Question:

44 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for the Environment when he proposes to grant aid the proposed sewerage scheme for Williamstown, County Galway; the position of the scheme; and the total cost of the scheme.

Contract documents for this scheme are under consideration in my Department. The estimated cost of the scheme now proposed is in the region of £1 million. Having regard to the overall demand on the water and sanitary services programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve the scheme.
