Vol. 431 No. 1

Written Answers. - National Lottery Funding.

Liz McManus

Question:

72 Ms McManus asked the Minister for the Environment the reason the limited role that was extended to local authorities in relation to lottery funding now appears to have been done away with; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Local authorities were heavily involved in the administration of the Amenities/Recreational Facilities grants scheme of 1988, 1990 and 1991. No funds have been provided in my Department's Vote for a new scheme in 1992 or 1993.

Liz McManus
