Vol. 431 No. 3

Written Answers. - Special Reserve Milk Quota.

John Browne

Question:

64 Mr. Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny) asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will make a statement on the proposed use of the remaining quota in the event that all the special reserve quota of 63,400 suckler cows is not used up by eligible producers in 1993.

The relevant EC Regulation provides that any unused part of this additional quota shall revert to the national reserve. The arrangements for allocating the national reserve will be announced as soon as they are finalised.
