Question:138 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Defence if the Furies Pier, County Cork will be sold to persons (details supplied) in County Cork so that their plans to establish a marina and caravan park can be finalised.
Written Answers. - Furies (Cork) Pier.
Furies Pier, County Cork is surplus to the requirements of the Department and the Department of the Marine were asked for their observations on its disposal.
That Department has now indicated that it has no interest in the pier. The future disposition of the property is under active consideration and I hope to be in a position to make a decision in the matter at an early date. The interest of the persons mentioned in the question will be borne in mind.
