Question:53 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice if she has received submissions on legislation to confiscate the proceeds of crime; if so, if she will favourably consider them; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Confiscation of Proceeds of Serious Crime.
In line with a commitment in the Programme for Government 1993-97, a Bill is being drafted to provide for the seizure and confiscation of the proceeds of serious crime and will be introduced by me as soon as possible.
