The licensing provisions of the Wireless Telegraphy Acts 1926 to 1988 except in so far as they relate to television sets are my responsibility. MMDS systems are licensed by me under the Wireless Telegraphy (Television Programme Retransmission) Regulations, 1989 (S.I. No. 39 of 1989). "Community" television systems in the context in which the Deputy refers to them are unlicensed and in contravention of the provisions of the Wireless Telegraphy Acts 1926 to 1988.
