Vol. 431 No. 7

Written Answers - Army Discharge.

Eamon Walsh

Question:

63 Mr. E. Walsh asked the Minister for Defence if he will have arrangements made to enable a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24, who is a member of the Defence Forces, to have himself honourably discharged from the Army; and if, to enable this to be done, he will appoint a senior officer to deal with the case.

The person referred to by the Deputy enlisted in the Permanent Defence Force on 28 June 1963. He went absent without leave from his Unit on 27 March 1970 and did not return to duty until 14 August 1989. He was subsequently discharged from the Defence Forces on 15 March 1990.
