Vol. 431 No. 7

Written Answers - Dunfanaghy (Donegal) Foreshore.

Proinsias De Rossa

Question:

66 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for the Marine if a licence has been issued to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal to reclaim part of the foreshore at Dunfanaghy, County Donegal; and if so, the conditions that have been attached.

A lease of foreshore for a term of 35 years was granted to the individual concerned in November 1990. The lease permitted the reclamation of an area of foreshore at Dunfanaghy, the erection of a boundary wall and steps and the provision of recreational and car parking facilities thereon in accordance with plans and drawings submitted with the application. The standard lease with no special conditions was used.
