Question:

68 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of his 1992 beef premium.

The application of the person named for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a computer validation check due to a clerical error. The error has now been rectified and payment should be made within a fortnight. He did not apply for grants under the special beef premium scheme in the December 1992 application period.

69 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if all outstanding cattle grants have been paid for 1992 to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named has been paid his grants under the 1992 cattle and equines headage scheme. He did not apply for grants under the 1992 suckler cow premium scheme. His application for grants under the June 1992 special beef premium was rejected when subjected to a computer validation check due to a clerical error. The error has now been rectified and payment should be made within a forthnight. His December 1992 application for grants under the special beef premium scheme is being processed at present and payment will issue as soon as possible.
