Vol. 431 No. 8

Written Answers. - Orthodontic Treatment.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

133 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health the progress, if any, since 15 May 1993, in the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24 who has been deemed in urgent need of orthodontic treatment by a private orthodontist but who has been put on a year-long waiting list by the Eastern Health Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The provision of orthodontic treatment in Dublin is the responsibility of the Eastern Health Board in the first instance and I have referred this matter to the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board for his immediate attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
