Vol. 432 No. 1

Written Answers. - Submission of Annual Report.

Jim O'Keeffe

Question:

205 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health the reason the Annual Reports and Accounts for 1991 of the Midland Health Board, the Southern Health Board, the National Drugs Advisory Board and the Tallaght Hospital Board have not yet been submitted.

The position in relation to each of the Accounts is as follows:

(a) The Midland Board audit has been delayed because of unavoidable changes in the audit staff. The audit is now under way and will be completed in early September.

(b) The account of the Southern Health Board in respect of 1991 and 1992 are being audited simultaneously. The audit reports and accounts for both years will be completed by mid-autumn.

(c) The completion of the report and accounts of the National Drugs Advisory Board has been delayed, because of exceptional staffing difficulties. However, arrangements have now been made to complete the annual report and accounts for the board in respect of 1991 and 1992 before the end of this year.

(d) The audit of Tallaght Hospital Board is now being completed. The delay was due to staffing difficulties.
