Vol. 432 No. 1

Written Answers. - Disability Benefit Certificates.

Ivan Yates

Question:

207 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Health if hospitals are no longer issuing certificates for disability benefit to claimants who are regularly attending hospital or who were hospital in-patients, if there has been any change in operational practices by general hospitals in this regard in recent times; and if not, the means by which claimants who are experiencing difficulty in obtaining such certificates can ensure their availability.

Certificates for disability benefit are routinely issued to hospital in-patients and there has been no change in this practice in recent times.
