242 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education if she will list the organisations/associations based in the House of Sport, Long Mile Road, Dublin 12.

243 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education the number of persons by organisation/association employed by each in the House of Sport, Long Mile Road, Dublin 12, with either full or partial financial assistance from her Department; and the current amount of grant-aid paid directly or indirectly by her Department towards the remuneration of each person.

244 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education if she will give a list of the facilities available in the House of Sport.

245 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education the cost to her Department for each year in the operation, administration and maintenance of the House of Sport.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 242, 243, 244 and 245 together.

The following is a list of organisations based in the House of Sport:

—Irish Amateur Rowing Union.

—Special Olympics Ireland.

—Republic of Ireland Billiards and Snooker Association.

—Irish Amateur Gymnastics Association.

—Irish Mini-Sport Movement.

—Association for Adventure Sports.

—Irish Amateur Swimming Association.

—Pitch and Putt Union of Ireland.

—Irish Canoe Union.

—Irish Squash Rackets Association.

—Saol Plus.

The information sought by the Deputy in relation to staffing of the organisations and the level of financial support available from my Department in respect of these posts is shown on the following tabular statement.

In relation to the facilities available at the House of Sport each organisation is provided with one private office. There is also a Board Room available. A range of modern technology appropriate to normal office requirements is also available.

In 1992 the cost to the Department in the administration of the House of Sport was £50,344.
