260 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education if she will make a statement regarding the provision of an regional technical college for Castlebar, County Mayo; and the provision of third level there following her visit there on Wednesday, 2 June 1993.
I was pleased to meet representatives of the County Mayo Vocational Education Committee and of the Mayo regional technical college Action Group in Castlebar on Wednesday, 2 June 1993.
At these meetings I reiterated my invitation to submit proposals on appropriate developments in County Mayo and my willingness to approve, subject to viability, the first year of a number of National Certificate programmes on an outreach basis.
