32 Mr. Cox asked the Minister for Education the number of applications she currently has for multi-denominational primary schools; the proposed locations of these schools; when she proposes to respond to the applications; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
There are currently ten recognised multi-denominational primary schools.
Applications are on hands for the recognition of a further four such schools, one each in Galway City, Terenure in Dublin, North Kildare and Dingle.
The normal conditions for recognition have not yet been fulfilled in any of these cases.
