36 Mr. Cox asked the Minister for Education the number of applications she currently has for Gael Scoileanna in the primary sector; the proposed locations of these schools; when she proposes to respond to the applications; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

There are seven applications for the recognition of Gael Scoileanna in the primary school sector being processed by my Department at present.

The locations are as follows: Knocknacara, Galway; Tullamore, County Offaly; Ballymun, Dublin city; Listowel, County Kerry; Skibbereen, County Cork; Mayfield, Cork city and Clondalkin, County Dublin.

It is not possible, at this stage, to indicate when decisions will be given in each case.
