Vol. 432 No. 2

Written Answers. - Disabled Person's Maintenance Allowance.

Ivan Yates

Question:

109 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Health if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who is in receipt of a disabled person's maintenance allowance from his local health board is eligible for butter vouchers; if so, the reason he did not receive any in 1992 and 1993; and if these will be paid to him.

Payment of the disabled person's maintenance allowance and its associated benefits such as butter vouchers, in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
