Question:

177 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health when orthodontic treatment will be given to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter in view of the fact that this patient was first identified for treatment in April 1991, and that he is now 15 years of age.

The provision of orthodontic treatment in County Kildare is the responsibility of the Eastern Health Board in the first instance and I have referred this matter to the Chief Executive Officer of the Eastern Health Board for his immediate attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
