176 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Health if an inventory of strychnine stored in Irish pharmacies has been compiled; and the proposals, if any, the Government has to ensure that it can be managed in such a way that its disposal will not endanger wildlife.

I can confirm that an inventory was established with the co-operation of those pharmacists holding stocks of strychnine. The process of destruction which will in due course be used will be such that there will be no danger to wildlife.
