Question:88 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht if he intends to provide funding to the National Library to ensure that the roof repairs are carried out in 1993.
Written Answers. - National Library Repairs.
The Office of Public Works is primarily responsible for the maintenance of the buildings occupied by the national cultural institutions including the National Library. I understand, however, that the roof of the National Library is in need of repair and that the Office of Public Works has recently commissioned a consultant to carry out a detailed survey of the extent of the problem. My Department has, however, not received any request to provide funding for roof repairs in 1993.
