Question:100 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Justice the number of people who were arrested in the months from January to May 1993, inclusive and who were subsequently released without being charged.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the information sought by the Deputy is not readily available and could be obtained only by the expenditure of a disproportionate amount of Garda time and resources.
