Vol. 432 No. 6

Written Answers. - Criminal Injuries Awards.

Seán Barrett

Question:

101 Mr. Barrett asked the Minister for Justice the length of time it takes to make payments to those awarded criminal injuries awards.

I am informed that the time taken to make payment varies from case to case and that priority as regards payment is determined by the date of acceptance of the award. In this context, persons being paid their awards this month accepted those awards in January 1992.
