The sale by Aer Lingus of a subsidiary is, primarily, a matter for the company. However, I have been informed by Aer Lingus that, contrary to media speculation, no formal proposal for the sale of Cara to any company has been approved by the board of Aer Lingus, nor has any proposal been put to the board.
