Vol. 433 No. 1

Written Answers. - Installation Grant.

Paul Bradford

Question:

207 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if a person (details supplied) in County Cork, whose application for a farm installation grant was rejected on the grounds that his stamped deed of transfer was executed prior to the introduction of the installation aid scheme, can have his application reconsidered in view of correspondence (details supplied) indicating that he did not become the registered owner of the property until some months after the introduction of the scheme.

Under the scheme of installation aid for young farmers the effective date of installation is the date on which the Deed of Transfer is signed by all parties, not the date on which registration is completed in the Land Registry.

In this instance as the Deed of Transfer was signed prior to the introduction of the scheme the applicant is ineligible.
