Vol. 433 No. 5

Written Answers. - County Donegal Water Supply.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

75 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the continuous difficulty with the supply and quality of the local authority water supply in the Fintown area of County Donegal; and the steps, if any, that are being taken to ensure an adequate supply and a good standard of water for the inhabitants of the area.

Donegal County Council have submitted a proposal to provide additional headworks equipment in order to improve the public water supply at Fintown. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme. I cannot indicate when there may be a decision on the scheme.
