Question:

77 Mr. Gallagher (Laoighis-Offaly) asked the Minister for the Environment the plans, if any, he has received for the provision of toilets and showers at Shannonbridge, County Offaly, which is a busy tourist area; the stage these plans are at; and when these facilities will be provided.

An application has been received from Offaly County Council for capital funding to provide a public convenience and shower facilities at Shannonbridge. The council have been requested to submit drawings and specifications, together with details of the estimated costs, to enable the proposal to be examined.
