Vol. 433 No. 7

Written Answers. - Details of Vessel.

Question:

101 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for the Marine if, in respect of the matters raised in Parliamentary Questions No. 62 of 26 May 1993, and No. 64 of 2 June 1993, he will give the reason he has failed to have the review of the matter concerned completed by mid-June; if he will give the administrative details as requested in Parliamentary Question No. 64 of 2 June 1993, up to and including the present date; if not, the reason for not giving such details; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The review of this case is at present being undertaken in the Department and will be completed in the near future. The Department will inform the Deputy of the outcome of the review as soon as a final decision is reached in the case.

I have made inquiries into the administrative background and processing of the case and can confirm that it was dealt with in the normal way and that standard procedures were observed at all times.
