Question:

162 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Education if she will reconsider the application from Scoil Mhuire, Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9, for a grant towards the refurbishment of a room for a school library; and if her attention has been drawn to the fact that, due to insurance purposes, the proposed centre piece of the library cannot be put on display without the refurbishment.

As I said in my reply to Question No. 186 from Deputy Bruton on 15 June last, it is not proposed to reconsider this decision as the application for grant-aid in question was refused because it was not in respect of essential classroom accommodation.
