Vol. 433 No. 7

Written Answers. - Mobile Health Screening Services.

Liam Burke

Question:

51 Mr. L. Burke asked the Minister for Health if he intends to introduce regulations on mobile health screening services.

Ivor Callely

Question:

132 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health if he has satisfied himself with the way mobile screening clinics operate and carry out tests for cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes and anaemia; whether all such tests are carried out by professional personnel; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 51 and 132 together. I am not aware of the need to introduce regulations on mobile health screening services. I am, however, concerned to ensure that these services operate to the highest standards and I propose to keep the matter under review.
