Question:127 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for the Environment when finance will be made available to complete an important and urgent project (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

Contract documents for this scheme are under consideration in my Department. More recent related proposals to carry out a source protection investigation have been received from Kilkenny County Council and are also being examined. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on this scheme may be made.
