Question:

128 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for the Environment when a grant will be paid to Bundoran UDC, County Donegal, as a result of damage caused to roads in Askill, County Leitrim, during the installation of the Bundoran mains water scheme.

An application for a supplementary grant for the reinstatement of these roads is under consideration by my Department in conjunction with the local authorities concerned.

Question:

129 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; if he will ensure that the investigation of the application is expedited and that payment will issue at an early date.

There has been no delay. An inspection of the house has been carried out and payment of the grant will be made as soon as possible.
