Vol. 434 No. 4

Written Answers. - Raheen (Wexford) School.

Avril Doyle

Question:

189 Mrs. Doyle asked the Minister for Education if she will have the work required to Raheen national school, Clonroche, Enniscorthy, County Wexford listed as Category I, to include the extension and refurbishments in the 1994 programme.

Ivan Yates

Question:

209 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education if she will intervene in relation to the refurbishment and extension to a primary school (details supplied) in County Wexford to ensure that the category status of the project is upgraded so that it will be included in the programme of works to be carried out in 1994, in view of the appalling conditions at the school.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 189 and 209 together.

Architectural planning has been proceeding on a major building project at this school and planning permission has been received.

The project will be considered for inclusion in the national schools' capital programme in due course in the light of available resources and other commitments and priorities.
