190 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education if it is proposed to introduce a new sports capital programme in 1994 particularly in view of the outcome of a meeting between a sports organisation (details supplied) and the Minister of State at her Department.

The question of introducing a new sports capital programme in 1994, as outlined in the Programme for Government, is under consideration in the context of the 1994 Estimates for Public Services. Grant assistance for the project in question will be considered in that context.
