195 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the proposed new community schools in Rathmore and Kenmare, County Kerry; and if she will make a statement on the matter as to whether provision will be made for these building projects in the 1994 estimates.
Architectural planning of the proposed community schools for Rathmore and Kenmare is proceeding. Developed sketch schemes for both projects have been submitted to my Department and are currently under examination.
The projects will be considered in due course for inclusion in the 1994 Capital Programme in the light of objective criteria related to relevant educational, building and financial factors.
