106 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance if he will give the income received from privatisation for each of the years 1990 to 1992 and to date in 1993; and the estimated likely yield from privatisation over each of the next three years.
The income received from privatisation for each of the years 1990 to 1992 and to date in 1993 is as follows: 1990, nil; 1991, £343.4 million; 1992, £41.5 million; 1993 (to date), £174.5 million.
It should be noted that the 1991 figure includes £270.4 million in respect of the sale of shares in Irish Life but these proceeds were specifically omitted from the budgetary arithmetic.
