107 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement on the opening budgetary position for 1994 on the basis of Exchequer returns to date and in view of commitments already made for expenditure in 1994.
The Deputy will appreciate that the opening budgetary position for 1994 will depend, inter alia, on the actual outturn eventually registered in 1993 and on the expenditure levels still to be determined in connection with the ongoing preparation of the Abridged Estimates Volume. The opening position eventually determined will be indicated to the Dáil in due course in the Budget Statement.
