Question:

20 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Defence the status of the Military Hospital at Collins Barracks, Cork; whether there are facilities there for psychological testing; if not, if it is proposed to introduce this service there; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Military Hospital at Collins Barracks, Cork, has the status of a District Hospital. It has a capacity of 32 beds.

Personnel who are considered to require mental health evaluation, investigation or treatment are either examined in the Hospital by a visiting Consultant or referred for external examination and treatment.
